Watch the Julio Foolio Shooting Trial — State of Florida v. Alicia Andrews

The Florida trial of defendant Alicia Andrews of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio is now in progress in Hillsborough County Court.

Prosecutors say that Andrews acted as a lookout while the victim was in Tampa for his birthday. They claim she kept tabs with others who later trapped the rapper in a hotel parking lot.

Three gunmen allegedly shot at Foolio’s vehicle, taking his life and leaving three others hurt.

Andrews is charged with first-degree murder and planning a murder.

Detectives have presented forensic phone records that they say show her role in the planning. This includes Instagram messages and videos recovered from her iCloud.

The defense argues that Julio Foolio murder case she didn’t know what the others intended to do. Her team insists she was just on a trip with her boyfriend.

The case is being covered closely by fans of the late rapper because Julio Foolio’s death sparked controversy.

Day 6 of the trial has focused on phone evidence, with investigators explaining how they connected messages to the planning.
